Salty water

He carried me across the ocean
On his back
Like a snail carries its shell.

Whether I am home to him
Or he is to me
Only the giant waves can tell.

If these waves billow greatly,
It is surely a sign, my dear
They are not the ones to cry needlessly
The shore just maybe near.

If over these waves today we fly,
We may fathom their endless depth,
If in these waves today we drown,
We can stop chasing that fleeting crown.

But if in this ocean today we live,
We can suck the salty water off each others mouths.
Fun, right?
