Extraordinarily Ordinary

At one point in time in our lives we all get overwhelmed by the ordinary; the monotony of daily life until one day you wish you had not let yourself be taken over.

You start checking your grocery bills and try to get the best interest rate on your new savings account. Your dog's poop becomes one of the troubles in your monotonous life and you wait for that day when you'd have an opportunity( note the word 'opportunity') to vacuum clean the entire house...

At one point in time in our lives we all get sucked into the ordinary because it is the ordinary which can be done extraordinarily :)

normal gets boring after a while, we all need to break on through to the other side and vacuum the whole house.

i read a book, the girl doesnt marry the man she loves because she thinks that the man is a dream..a wonderful one...and if she gets married to him she'l convert the dream into a reality and love l become slavery~~you brought back to me memories of that as i read this..

Nice blog entry.

The "get-the-job-done-mechanically" point of view is what I call the ordinary point of view. Which of course is a very important point of view - vital for life to go on.

The difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary is razor thin; just a state of mind.

Life is extraordinary, mystical, fantastic already. Switch the point of view, and its all here. The beauty, the mystery. Et al.

My latest blog entry, a poem, tries to merge the mystical and the ordinary.

Have a look.
